Sky Study

Spring was just approaching when I began this photo series. A national lockdown followed shortly after in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. In a period of relative global stillness, I felt it was important to note the changes that continued to happen.

A project about time and optimism: a documentation of the colour of the sky, loosely influenced by Derek Jarman’s Blue (1993) and Bluets (2009) by Maggie Nelson.
