Having been offered a residency at the artist-run space De Verffabriek – a former paint factory on the edge of the city – we sought to open a dialogue between the space and the surrounding neighbourhood.

Over the summer months, we hosted a series of workshops and events inspired by the local area, coming together with residents to reflect on what characterises the post-industrial suburb today, and to imagine and ignite a future for public space within the neighbourhood.
